Alguns anos se passam desde a primeira troca, e o casal volta a ter conflitos corriqueiros. Mas dessa vez, as briguinhas levam a algo mais sério – tão sério que o casal resolve se separar. Para piorar a situação, acabam de descobrir que a filha, Bia, agora com 18 anos, vai se casar – e que vão ser avós… Porém, mais uma vez, o destino intervém na vida do casal antes que seja tarde demais. Quando vão formalizar sua separação, trocam novamente de corpos. Já acostumados com o fenômeno, resolvem sumir durante quatro dias – o tempo que levou para destrocarem na primeira vez. Mas dessa vez, chega o quarto dia e nada acontece. Será por que passaram os quatro dias separados? Ou será que ainda têm alguma lição a aprender? Qualquer que seja a razão, não destrocou e bate o desespero – como voltar ao normal e poder continuar com suas vidas independentes um do outro? E tudo isso com a organização de um casamento nas mãos. Muito contrariados, os pais tem que conviver juntos, um no corpo do outro, para organizar a grande festa de casamento da filha junto com os ricos sogros, o genro estudante de botânica, e todos os amigos e colegas de trabalho e suas devidas confusões.
