Um dos programas mais conceituados do mercado para criação de elementos gráficos acaba de ganhar uma nova versão. O Corel Draw chega a sua 15ª versão trazendo muitas novidades e mostrando que não quer ficar pra trás dos seus concorrentes.

Tradicionalmente, as versões ímpares do programa são as que mais apresentam novidades e recursos para os usuários, cabendo às pares apenas alguns complementos e melhorias. Mais uma vez o programa mantém a tradição trazendo melhorias consideráveis em relação à anterior.

O Corel X5 também cresceu em tamanho. Desta vez o aplicativo tem pouco mais de 500 MB para download e requer do usuário um espaço livre em disco de ao menos 1GB. É recomendável ainda que você tenha um bom processador em sua máquina – um Dual Core é requisito mínimo.

A interface do aplicativo traz poucas novidades. As ferramentas laterais e menus superiores foram mantidos e nesse quesito quase não há novidades. No entanto, alguns sistemas inteligentes de trabalho e um novo perfil de gerenciamento de cores são alguns dos destaques desta versão.

Organização da Área de trabalho

Uma grande novidade desta versão é o sistema Corel Connect. Com ele é possível configurar um perfil de Área de trabalho e salvá-lo online. Assim, se você precisar retomar o trabalho em outro computador, pode fazê-lo sem problemas desde que, é claro, a nova máquina também possua a versão X5 instalada.

Entre os elementos que podem ser acessados online estão: gráficos, imagens, templates e, principalmente, fontes. A novidade deve auxiliar muito usuários que trabalham com impressão gráfica, já que deixa de ser necessário incorporar uma fonte (curvas), basta apenas acessá-la online.

Modo de gerenciamento de cores redesenhado

Uma das maiores reclamações dos usuários do Corel sempre foi o seu perfil de cores. Os modos de visualização, em geral, ficavam distantes do resultado final da impressão de um material ou mesmo da compatibilidade com outros aplicativos.

Para a versão X5 ele foi completamente redesenhado. O resultado disso é uma paleta de cores muito mais fiel às expectativas dos usuários e com suporte para perfis de cores PANTONE, garantindo que o que está sendo visto na tela é exatamente o que será impresso.

Ferramentas para web e animação gráfica

Nesse quesito o Corel X5 também apresenta novidades em suas ferramentas. Os itens para desenho estão mais apurados, ou seja, é possível perceber mais detalhes em cada pixel com um novo modo de visualização ainda mais aproximado.

Uma nova caixa de diálogo permite ao usuário comparar diversos perfis de cores e formatos de compactação antes de exportar os arquivos. Assim é possível encontrar um meio termo entre qualidade de resolução e tamanho reduzido de arquivo final.

Velocidade otimizada e suporte touchscreen

Embora esteja mais pesado, o funcionamento do programa não foi comprometido. Em tarefas mais simples é sensível a melhoria na velocidade de desempenho do aplicativo, já que há um sistema que identifica a capacidade de processamento e adapta o funcionamento à quantidade de processadores.

Como o touchscreen parece ser uma das principais tendências do momento há suporte para esse estilo no Windows 7. Além disso, as versões touch para Windows Vista e XP também foram melhoradas.

Tutorial e fontes

O modo tutorial do programa também deve agradar bastante aos usuários, principalmente iniciantes no programa. Na versão X5 há muitos vídeos disponíveis ensinando algumas das funções mais básicas, como criação de logomarcas, folders e cartões de visita. Para aqueles que procuram novidades em termos de fontes, uma boa notícia: a nova versão do aplicativo traz um pacote com mais de mil já instaladas.

Compatibilidade

A compatibilidade de arquivos do Corel X5 também foi aprimorada. Assim arquivos PDF, JPG, PNG, EPS, AI, TIFF, PSD e DOCX podem ser importados ou exportados com muita facilidade, bastando para isso salvá-los em uma das extensões em questão.

Finalmente a Adobe liberou um dos aplicativos mais esperados do ano de 2010. O Photoshop CS5, software padrão da indústria quando se fala em tratamento e manipulação de imagens, aparece com inovações de interface e ferramentas quase inimagináveis.

Conhecido principalmente graças à criação de imagens publicitárias e de moda, o Photoshop é útil para diversas áreas, como a fotografia. Claro que é possível consertar muita coisa através do aplicativo, porém em termos de imagem fotográfica, o ideal é ter o máximo de qualidade já na captura e utilizar o programa apenas para acertar detalhes.

Porém, as novas ferramentas desenvolvidas pela Adobe para esta versão trazem facilidades até então impossíveis sem muitas horas de trabalho de um tratador experiente, colocando ao alcance dos simples mortais – ou ao menos daqueles que têm condições de pagar os quase 700 dólares pelo aplicativo – os efeitos vistos em revistas e anúncios de publicidade.

As grandes novidades

Se você acompanhou os artigos que o Baixaki publicou sobre toda a tecnologia envolvida no novo Photoshop, é provável que você tenha visto os vídeos de demonstração das duas grandes vedetes do lançamento: o “Content-aware Fill” (ou preenchimento considerando o conteúdo) e o “Refine Edge” (ou refino de margem).

Porém, esses vídeos são feitos pela Adobe, com máscaras criadas especialmente para aquelas imagens, e sem grandes limites de tempo para a criação, permitindo – naturalmente – excelentes resultados. Assim, a iniciativa de marketing da empresa se firmou sobre essas demonstrações.

Para conferir se na “vida real” o software se comportaria com a mesma qualidade, o Baixaki criou – e você assiste a seguir – vídeos utilizando ambas as ferramentas em uma foto de banco de imagem. Talvez você já a tenha visto em algum artigo mais antigo no site e portanto tem certeza que não é uma imagem “especial” para a demonstração abaixo.

Como se percebe, ambas as ferramentas funcionam muito bem. Claro que não da mesma forma que nos vídeos de demonstração da Adobe, uma vez que o tempo utilizado nesse teste não é – nem de longe – o ideal para desvendar todas as particularidades do Photoshop CS5.

Outras surpresas agradáveis

Além das surpreendentes ferramentas da versão CS5, o novo Photoshop também traz algumas novidades voltadas principalmente ao fluxo de trabalho e à otimização do tempo do usuário. O principal exemplo dessa categoria de inovações é o Mini Bridge.

Em um painel semelhante aos inspetores da barra direita do programa – onde você encontra o histograma da imagem ou os layers que a compõem, por exemplo – você acessa todo o catálogo de imagens do Adobe Bridge, pela primeira vez sem sair do Photoshop.

Com isso, a agilidade em se produzir imagens – especialmente para os manipuladores, que criam cenas inteiras a partir de várias fotografias – aumenta consideravelmente, já que as pastas e imagens são encontradas usando as técnicas do Bridge.

Palavras-chave, rankings e muito mais agora fazem parte do pacote principal do Photoshop, graças a essa integração com o organizador de imagens do Creative Suite. Para ativar o Mini Bridge, um botão na Barra de ferramentas foi adicionado ao lado do controle da versão integral do catálogo.

Os layouts de tela – já existentes nas versões anteriores do software – agora têm atalhos no topo da janela para selecionar qual distribuição de painéis e ferramentas é mais indicada ao seu modo de trabalhar.

Entre os padrões você encontra layouts de pintura, fotografia, design e outros. O aplicativo já abre com o layout chamado “Essentials” (Essenciais), com todas as ferramentas básicas necessárias para qualquer tipo de tratamento ou manipulação.

Adobe Camera RAW

Um dos principais plugins para Photoshop também recebeu nova versão e novas funcionalidades. Fotógrafos e manipuladores agora podem tratar suas imagens antes mesmo de elas existirem de fato. Através da ferramenta “Targeted Adjustment Tool” (Ferramenta de ajuste localizado), é possível realizar correções e tratamentos no arquivo em formato bruto antes da conversão em pixels.
